SOME THINGS TO REFLECT ON
In this interview, a lot of jewels of self-improvement are discussed. Some of these and their associated thoughts include:
- Your upbringing does not mean it is the path you need to take. You choose your path in life.
- Exposing yourself to different things in life may open you up to different career paths, different lives and experiences than you ever thought possible. Use a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. Allow yourself to say yes to things and you never know where you may go.
- Do you use technology too much? Have you become less self-reliant and live dependent on technology? Time to go back to basics and learn how to care for yourself and build from there.
- Forrest finds animals, sometimes they were believed extinct. He doesn’t give up on them. Like the animals, you shouldn’t give up on your dreams. Find reference points, source the information on how to do it, plan your expedition to achieving it and go for it. You may succeed or you may fail … but the experience will be a highlight in your life.
- We are creating and wasting at a rate that is unmanageable. We need to be looking at ways to avoid use of dangerous chemicals, damaging the environment etc.
