  • The problem on focusing on just stats and metrics is that they can turn as general interests change. By building super fans, you will safe-proof your business, have fans who will help you build your business and will be interested in everything you are doing, be repeat customers, visit your company, see your work, share your work, buy your products and be your best business marketers for free.
  • Pat focused on creating a site to help people pass a unique, less known exam but was something that most people struggled with. You don’t need to be in everyone’s inbox, but by putting in work to build passion, feelings, and help your customers, you can help serve people so they love your brand and share your message and always be there for you. 
  • A fan is not created overnight, they are created by the moments you create for them over time
  • You need to speak in the same language as your audience, you need to learn the language that they speak and the chords that will connect with them … and use this throughout your blog, sales pitches, website, etc 
  • Pat highlights the importance of a small win for your customers and followers – what is a small win that you can give to your audience right now?
  • Everything in your time and business has a time and place but what is an excuse to hide away from the chance to connect to your community? It may be scary but it can take you some amazing places as Pat outlines
  • Is the avatar of your typical customer, listener, product user even remotely close to the truth? By creating super fans you get to speak to the real people, learn from them, listen to their input,help each other and make better products and typically more sales too as you are supplying what they need and want to buy. and will rave about them to others too! A win-win situation!
  • You need to focus on building your brand from the inside as much as or more than the outside by building your superfans
